Guest on the white-sand beach beside turquoise water under a fringed umbrella on Wilson Island

Accessibility

Wilson Island invites guests to experience the island much as nature intended. As part of this unique island experience, we encourage guests to consider the following accessibility features when planning their stay:

  • Arrival: Guests arrive by boat and disembark directly onto the beach, with no marina or jetty.
  • Natural Pathways: The island is explored via natural pathways of sand, crushed shell and coral.
  • Accommodation: Reef Safari Tents are elevated and accessed via entry steps.

If you have any mobility, accessibility or health requirements, we encourage you to contact our team before booking. We’ll be pleased to discuss your individual needs and provide guidance to help you determine whether Wilson Island is the right fit for your stay.

Service animals

Accredited service animals are welcome on Wilson Island. We encourage guests travelling with a service animal to contact our team before booking, as additional requirements and documentation may apply within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Allergies & Dietary Requirements

If you have allergies or specific dietary requirements, we encourage you to contact our team before booking so we can discuss your individual needs and the options available during your stay.

Due to Wilson Island’s remote location and limited access to emergency medical services, we are unable to accommodate guests who require an adrenaline auto-injector (EpiPen® or similar) for the management of severe allergic reactions. The safety and wellbeing of our guests is our highest priority, and we appreciate your understanding.
